Um not really. In the old days.
As soon as a record came into the
station a copy was burned on cart.
(sorta like an 8track) then the
album is placed in a vault never
to be used live. Since the advent
of minidisc. All cd´s go thru the
same proceedure. As soon as the
cd comes in it is burned as a minidisc
any and all subsequent minidiscs
are burned from that disc.
During the transistion many a station
pulled out the original vinyl and
burned to minidisc for broadcast.
